It’s been a long time since the last post, but I’ve been a little busy… sob.

We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it: Ce ne preoccuperemo quando sarà il momento.

Take stock of the situation: Fare il punto della situazione, detto in modo formale.
Esempio:
Let’s meet tomorrow to take stock of the situation: vediamoci domani così facciamo il punto della situazione. Un’espressione meno formale potrebbe essere: Let’s meet tomorrow to iron out what we need to do (Thanks Jim)

Jim made me remember with his last post our trip in Milwaukee and one of the most difficult expressions I heard from his brother: I won’t hold it against you, which can be translated in Italian with “Non te lo farò pesare”.
Example:
You did a big mess last night… but I won’t hold it against you.

You’re doing my head in: questa espressione, segnalata “rumorosamente” da Fabio, significa che qualcosa è fastidioso o troppo chiassoso e ti sta facendo venire il mal di testa, l’esempio riportato dall’Urban Dictionary è:
That parrot is doing my head in, it keeps screeching when I try and talk.
